William Mittler
Adjunct Instructor

William Mittler was educated at UCLA and was awarded his MFA in 2004. He is an adjunct theatre professor here at Chaffey College as well as Fullerton College, Mt SAC and Riverside Community College. As a founding member of Stages Theatre Company in Orange County he has had over 20 of his original works produced including:
Snow Angels, Witches Roommates and Lovers, So Alone, A World in Love, Gratuitous, Ticklepants, Decadence, Paradise, Forever, The Demon, and Mother's Daughter. He was awarded a grant from California Council for the Humanities in 2006 for his production of Tales from the Canyons, The Olinda Story, at the Curtis Theatre in Brea. Other awards include Anita and Everette Farnsworth Scholarship, Fullerton College, 1993 Best Ensemble, Ticklepants, OC Weekly, 1998 Playwright of the year, OC Weekly, 2001 Best Director, OC Register, 2001 Best Play, So Alone, OC Register, 2001 James Pendleton Foundation Award, UCLA, 2003 and the Marianne Murphy Award, UCLA, 2003. Besides being an award-winning playwright and director, William is a light designer, stage carpenter, and actor. He was last seen on the stage in 2007 as Claudius, in Hamlet, alongside Fullerton college students and alumni.
