Workforce Training Programs

Chaffey College’s Workforce Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development department provides workforce training opportunities that assist individuals to move from education to employment. Through our InTech center located in Fontana, we provide programs that meet the needs of business and industry in the region and assist individuals to secure full time employment at no cost to them.

Pre-apprenticeship program

We offer the following pre-apprenticeship programs. A pre-apprenticeship program equips students with foundational skills and knowledge needed to enter into an apprenticeship program in a specific trade or industry.

The InTech center offers three registered apprenticeship programs. An apprenticeship program is a structured program involving on-the-job training as well as classroom instruction. These programs allow the apprentice to gain hands on experience while earning a wage.

  • Industrial Maintenance Electrician
  • Industrial Mechanic
  • Auto

In addition, the InTech center offers a variety of services for employers, such as customized training programs covering topics that include: leadership, performance improvement, communication, business skills, technical skills and safety certifications.
