Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Governor Schwarzenegger signed the education trailer bill to the 2009-2010 state budget that will increase fees at community colleges across California from $20 to $26 per unit beginning this fall. The fee increase will take effect at Chaffey College July 29, 2009.

Students, who paid their fees before July 29, will receive a supplemental bill for the increased cost. The additional $6 per unit must be paid before September 14, 2009 or there will be a restriction placed on that student's record.

Students, who pay after July 29, will be charged the full amount. The sum must be paid by the payment deadline, August 12, 2009, to avoid being dropped from classes.

The Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW) completely covers the fee increase. Students who qualify for the BOGW will not have to do anything extra. Qualifications for the BOGW are available at the Chaffey College Financial Aid website.

Financial Aid is available to pay for fees, books, and other expenses. For questions about Financial Aid, please contact your local Chaffey College Financial Aid office.
