Steps to Beginning Your Certificate

  1. Look at the schedule of offerings.
  2. With your first level manager, sit down and decide whether you would like a General or Specialized Certificate.
  3. Choose your courses.  Make sure you check your schedule carefully and get your manager’s approval for the courses you would like to take.
  4. Fill out the Personal Support Success Center Certificate Plan Word Document.
  5. Have you manager sign the plan.  Make sure he or she understands that you will be gone from your position during these workshop hours, and that arrangements for your absence may need to be made. 
  6. If you are involved in the Professional Growth Initiative, make sure you complete the Professional Growth Initiative Activity PlanAcrobat document. You need only complete this once for all the workshops you will take through the SSCC.
  7. Call (909-652-6971) or email Angie Horton to sign up for the workshops that you have on your Plan.
  8. Send your completed Personal Support Success Center Certificate Plan Word Document to the Office of Professional Development.
