GetSAP Counseling

To complete the GetSAP workshop please follow the instructions below:

If you are a first time user to GetSAP, you will need to sign-up:
  • Students can access the Counseling portal at GetSAP counseling
  • Click the "Sign up" link.
  • Fill out the registration form. Click "Create new account" when finished.
  • An email will be sent to the address students provided. Students must click the link in their email to finish activating their account.
  • Set the password after clicking on the email link then skip to step 2 below.

If you are a continuing user to complete the GetSAP counseling:

  1. Click on GetSAP counseling, Login with your Student ID and Password.
  2. Once in the Financial Aid counseling, click on the Sessions link at the top.
  3. Students will take 2 sessions:
    • The Essentials to Understanding Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and What it Means to You
    • The Key Components to the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Financial Aid Appeal Process
  4. The sessions should take each 20 to 30 minutes. At the end of each session, a screen will display the result of the test. You will also receive an email for each session completed. You will need to print the result and attach to the appeal Form.
  5. Upon completing the sessions, please download the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Form.
  6. Submit a completed Appeal form, both confirmation pages, a typed statement, a comprehensive Education Plan, a print out of your National Student Loan Database (NSLDS) Pell/Loan History record and any supporting documentation to the Financial Aid Office at either campus.

*Please note that if you misplace or lose either of your confirmation pages, you can return to the session and reprint the page without going through the workshop again.

All Financial Aid offices in Fontana and Chino will be closed beginning at 1pm and the Rancho Campus will close at 2pm.

Monday, November 12

All Financial Aid offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

Tues. & Wed. 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
