Programs are typically offered annually in September and March.

General Program Information

Chaffey College’s Phlebotomy Technician Training Program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to qualify to complete the certification exam required by the State of California.

Programs are offered once in the fall and once in the spring. You must attend an information session to be considered for entry into the program.

Information sessions are posted on this website at least two months before the program start date.

The program spans approximately 8 weeks and includes 68 hours of in-class training and 80 hours of clinical training.

General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Attend an information session listed below
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED at the time of registration
  • Be able to pass medical screening
  • Be able to pass background check
  • Be able to perform physically demanding tasks

Please do not pursue health screening, physical exams, or background checks until you attend an information session. Doing so may result in outdated or incomplete information and additional expenses to you.

Program Costs

$2,299 plus additional costs for materials, background check, physical exam, and certification exam. This program does not result with college credit nor does it meet prerequisite requirements for college credit courses. This program is not eligible for financial aid, fee waivers, or student loans.

This information session is intended to provide you with necessary details about Chaffey College's Phlebotomy Technician Training program and eligibility requirements. Sessions are held at the Rancho Cucamonga Campus. Please arrive on time. Late individuals will not be admitted. Information Session Parking

Chaffey College classes are currently in session. Please allow sufficient time to park and locate the information session location.  Please click on the link below to download a campus map.

Parking permits are required, and a one day pass may be purchased at kiosks located throughout campus parking lots for $4.00 or by using the College's Park Mobile App at the link below.

Registration Information

Registration will begin on January 5, 2018.
Appointments are not necessary nor are they scheduled.  Registration is offered on a first complete, first served basis.  You may visit the Community Education Office in the Student Services Administration (SSA) Building, Room 204 during the following dates and times.
  • January 5, 2018; 10am - 12pm & 2:15 - 4:15 pm
  • January 10, 2018; 10am - 12pm & 2:15 - 4:15 pm
  • January 12, 2018; 10am - 12pm & 2:15 - 4:15 pm
  • January 17, 2018; 10am - 12pm & 2:15 - 4:15 pm
  • January 19, 2018; 10am - 12pm & 2:15 - 4:15 pm

Please ensure you have all of the required documentation reviewed in the information session prior to your arrival. Incomplete documentation will not be accepted for registration. In addition, please check our website often, as registration may close prior to the dates mentioned above.
