What is SI?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an internationally-recognized academic support program offering free, regularly-scheduled study sessions for historically challenging courses. For most classes, two 60-minute SI sessions using collaborative learning methods are held each week. SI sessions are facilitated by SI Leaders, who are high-performing Chaffey students who have previously succeeded in the course, and have been referred by at least two faculty members. Students may attend as many SI sessions as they like, and our data suggests that the more you attend, the higher your final grade will be.

We recommend attending SI at least once per week.

Why SI?

SI is a free, voluntary opportunity for all students enrolled in the selected course.
