RadTec Pre-requisites

Yearly modifications can be made to program requirements. Students that maintain continuous enrollment at Chaffey College may use the requirements at the time of their enrollment. Please meet with a Chaffey College Counselor for more information.

The science pre-requisites for the RadTec Program are listed below. A minimum of a 2.8 GPA in degree applicable coursework is required to apply to the program. All coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher. (“C-” grades are not accepted.) All applicable coursework must be completed by the end of the fall term for the spring application period. Applications will be ranked according to points earned for coursework through the fall term preceding the application period.

Recency requirement: BIOL 20 Human Anatomy, BIOL 22 Physiology, and Chemistry or Physics must be completed within 8 years of the application period. Download the RadTec Advising Point Check Sheet for more information.

Online Science Labs: Biology science online courses and labs completed during spring 2020 through present day will be accepted.

Required biology science courses included:

BIOL 22 Human Physiology
CHEM or PHYS CHEM 9 (Health Science Chemistry) or CHEM 10 (Intro to Chemistry) or higher,   or PHYS 5 (The Ideas of Physics). High school coursework is not accepted.

Required general education courses included:

Satisfactory grade (“C” or better) in a math course at or above the level of Intermediate Algebra (e.g. Algebra 2, Integrated Math 3 or higher from high school or college level. 

STAT 10 (Elementary Statistics) or SCSCI 10 (Statistics for Social Sciences)  is recommended.
