Prepare for Important Dates & Deadlines

Apply during this time to be considered for the Fall 2026 start (August).

  • Evaluation Period will begin on January 5th, 2026 through February 12th, 2026 by 4:00 p.m.
  • Application Period will begin on February 1st, 2026 through February 28th, 2026 by 11:59 p.m.

Quick Steps to Apply

Follow the steps below and use the helpful documents linked.

  • For courses completed at another college, students MUST submit official transcripts to the Chaffey College Admissions & Records Office in one of the three options listed below:
    1. Electronically (preferred): Students may order their electronic transcripts from parchment.comto be sent to transcripts@chaffey.edu or via any other official electronic web source.
    2. In-person: Students may drop off sealed, official transcripts to one of the Admissions & Records Departments located on the Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, or Fontana campuses during regular business hours.
    3. U.S. Postal Service: Students may mail their official transcripts to the following address:

You may receive 1 extra point if:

  • You have 500+ hours of direct patient care in the last 5 years
  • The work was in an acute care hospital (with ER, ICU, and surgery center)
  • You provide proof with supervisor’s signature

You may receive 1 extra point if:

  • You are an applicant with a current California Limited Permit in Radiologic Technology.
  • A copy of the current permit(s) must be submitted with application.
  • The extra point for this is not guaranteed until verified by the admission committee at the time of review. 


You may receive 1 extra point if:

  • You are a United States Veteran applicant who has been honorably discharged and meet the RT program admissions criteria.
  • Military service documentation must be submitted with the application.
  • Acceptable documentation includes a Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD214) or a Proof of Service Letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please white out or black out social security numbers on these documents before submission.

 

Applicants must submit all required documentation for one extra point in one attempt. If documentation is incomplete, materials may not be resubmitted.

 

  • Applicants are awarded points based on the letter grades earned in prerequisite and general education courses.
  • Applicants are ranked first by points and then by degree-applicable GPA. In the case of a tie, application date/time submission is the tie breaker.
  • The program accepts 28 students per year and does not have a waitlist. If a student is not accepted, they must reapply the following year to continue to be considered.
  • Top 50 Applicants:
    You’ll receive an email in March with info about a mandatory Information Session (March/April).
  • All Other Applicants:
    You’ll also receive an email in March with your application results.
