Dental Assisting Application filing period will be May 1st to May 30th for a fall start in August.

24 students are accepted into the program per year.  

Due to limited staffing, we cannot provide status inquiries during the application period. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email by the first week of June. If you do not receive information about your application status by the first week of June, you may contact the Dental Assisting program for a status inquiry by emailing rita.morales@chaffey.edu.

Requirements to Apply:

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Become a Chaffey College student with an ID #. You can apply to Chaffey College by visiting the following website: Application for Admissions to Chaffey College.
  • Submit your unofficial high school transcripts from an accredited high school, GED, or equivalent with your Dental Assisting application.
  • Complete the Application for Admission to the Dental Assisting Program.
  • Obtain or have a current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) card, which must be maintained while in the program. Please note, CPR training must be obtained from the American Heart Association.

 

After the Application Period:

  • For applicants that applied during the application period, there will be a MANDATORY orientation that students must attend the second Thursday in June.
  • During the mandatory orientation, random selection will occur to determine acceptance into the Dental Assisting Program.
  • Provisionally accepted students will have until July 3rd to sign up for Complio/American Databank and complete their CPR, drug screening, and background checks.
  • Provisionally accepted students will have until August 29th to complete all immunization requirements.
  • Registration codes will be given to accepted students on August 2nd or when all documents have been received and confirmed.
