Computer Information Systems
Chaffey's Computer Information Systems program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in computer and information technology in all sizes and types of organizations, provide a foundation for those students who plan to complete a four-year program in computer information systems or related fields of study, and provide skills to upgrade current skills to assume greater responsibility in a current employment position. This major prepares students for current Information Technology careers as well as those developing in emerging technologies such as Cyber Security and Cloud Computing.
The Program offers A.S. degrees in Computer Information Systems and Cyber Security
as well as shorter certificates in Computer Information Systems, Computer Foundations,
Computer Game Development, Computer Support Technician (A+ Certification), Cyber Security
Cyber Security Defender, Network Specialist, Programming Foundations, Project Management, WordPress Web Development, Social Media Technician, and Web Page Development. Many of the certificates are stackable with completion of each building toward the A.S. Degree.
Students are advised to consult with a counselor for more information on degree and certificate requirements or university admission and transfer requirements.
