The Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) application for Fall 2026 is open. EOPS provides additional support to help qualified students reach their educational goals.
- Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis during the application window.

Fall 2026 EOPS Application details
The Fall 2026 EOPS Application is open. EOPS provides qualified historically underrepresented students with additional support to help them reach their educational goals.

How do you qualify?
- Enroll in at least 12 units for Fall 2026.
- Have less than 70 degree-applicable units completed. Students who have completed an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree are not eligible for the program.
- Meet financial aid and other academic requirements.

How do you apply?
Apply online through the MyChaffey student portal in Self-Service Registration. Select Additional Pages and Forms for Students.

Programs and support
Counseling
The counseling program provides qualified historically underrepresented students with additional support to help them reach their educational goals. Services include priority registration, support with course material costs, and educational supplies.
CARE
The Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) program provides extra academic support to meet the unique needs of single parents.
EOPS Summer Readiness
The EOPS Summer Readiness Program provides counseling services and program-specific support to EOPS-eligible recent high school graduates who are committed to enrolling in summer courses, with a minimum of two classes.
EOPS Undocumented Student Resource
The EOPS Student Resource team is dedicated to providing a safe space for all EOPS students, including undocumented students, as they pursue their academic and professional goals.
NextUp/Scholars
The EOPS NextUp and Scholars programs provide a holistic and supportive approach to counseling for former foster youth.
Current and former foster youth may apply year-round through the Unified Foster Youth application .
Services provided
- Academic, career, and limited personal counseling
- Priority registration
- EOPS-focused college classes, including Guidance 2 and Guidance 3
- Assistance with college-related fees, such as health fee and college services fee
- Transportation support, such as parking permit and transportation fee
- Support with required course materials, such as textbooks, e-books, and access codes
- Support with educational supplies
- Cultural awareness activities
- Supplemental programs for single parents receiving CalWORKs assistance, foster youth, students who qualify for AB 540 and complete the California Dream Act Application, and recent high school graduates eligible for the EOPS Summer Readiness Program.

Apply on-line by logging onto your My Chaffey portal account at my.chaffey.edu (a Chaffey student ID number is required)
- Log onto your My Chaffey portal account

- Under Shortcuts, click Self-Service (Registration)

- Click on Additional Pages and Forms for Students

- Click on EOPS Application
