CalWORKs will not be paying for or reimbursing Fees for Fall 2026.
CalWORKs will not be providing Parking Permits for Fall 2026.
Requirements for the Direct Aid Grant:
Onboarding:
- Registration into classes
- Complete the Fall 2026 Intake or Update Form
- Submit Verification of Benefits
Counseling Appointments:

Complete CalWORKs Fall 2026 Paperwork Appointment with a CalWORKs Counselor and Release Forms

Complete mid-term Progress Review Appointment with a CalWORKs Counselor
Completion of Educational Activity:
- Students can attend one Workshop from either: CalWORKs, CARE, CalWORKs/CARE Collaborative, Success Center, Career Center, Social Wellness & Behavioral Support or EOPS
- OR students can attend one 30 minutes or more Tutoring Session at the Success Center
Utilize Priority Registration date for approaching term
When are Benefits Distributed?
Start-Up Gas Card and Educational Supplies Support
Students have access to Start Up benefits upon completion of:
- Registration into classes
- Submission of Verification of Benefits
- Completing the current semester Intake or Update form
- Semester Paperwork appointment with a CalWORKs Counselor
Direct Aid Grant
Distributed by mid December 2026, contingent on requirement completion. This timeframe of delivery is subject to change.
