Celebrating Pride Month

June 1, 2026

Dear Campus Community,

We lift up our LGBTQIA+ community year-round here at Chaffey College, but June is a special time for all of us – when we come together to celebrate Pride month.

This month – honoring the 1969 Stonewall Uprising – recognizes the contributions, culture and the ongoing fight for equality for LGBTQIA+ communities. While there is still important work ahead to confront discrimination and hate, Chaffey College remains committed to fostering a campus community where everyone feels seen, heard and valued.

This month, we are excited to welcome the campus and surrounding community to our annual Pride Fest celebration on Thursday June 4 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at our Rancho Cucamonga campus. Join us for music, food, games and activities.

If you would like to learn more about Pride month, please stop by our Chaffey College Pride Lib Guide. I also encourage you to examine some other recent holidays in May such as Harvey Milk Day and International Day Against Homophobia.

Happy Pride Month!

Sincerely,

Henry D. Shannon, Ph.D.
