Child Development Center

The Chaffey College Child Development Center provides state-of-the-art care for children who are 18-months-old to kindergarten, and serves as a learning site for our child development students. Our activities help prepare students – socially, cognitively and physically - for elementary school. We take an individualized approach in the program, meeting the unique needs of each child. We want your child to have enriching and positive experiences in a safe and caring learning environment.

The Child Development Center remains temporarily closed through July 2022 due to COVID-19

Spring 2022 Parent Letter (.PDF)

December 17, 2021

Dear Parents,

Hope all is well with you, the children, and your families. I am writing to inform you that the Chaffey College Community College District has made the difficult decision to temporarily close our childcare facility through July 2022 at this time. The District has been closely following the advice of CDC and public health authorities, and the time has come for us to take this step.

In the meantime, to protect the health and safety of the children, staff, and families, the Child Development Center will be working on the implementation of all new safety regulations and obtaining necessary safety equipment and supplies to provide safe child care services to be prepared for a possible reopening in Fall 2022.

As individuals slowly return to work and public schools, I understand that this decision will have a big impact in your daily routine. I would like you to know that Chaffey College is committed to the well-being and learning of your child.

As noted above, due to the ongoing pandemic, the Chaffey College Child Development Center will remain closed during the spring and summer semester through July 2022. Should you need subsidized or low-cost child-care services, please contact the Resource and Referral for San Bernardino County:
