Workforce Training Programs

• EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PANEL (ETP)

The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is a business and labor supported State of California agency that assists employers in strengthening their competitive edge.
Employment Training Panel funding is extended through the unemployment insurance tax (UEI) paid by employers in the State of California. The Employment Training Panel provides funds through a percent of the UEI tax to off-set the costs of job skills training.  Workplace training is necessary for employers to maintain a high-performing competitive edge in order to keep California’s economy growing.

• CUSTOMIZED TRAININGS

The Customized Training Program is designed to enhance the skill sets of workers requiring specialized training needs. Courses in this category are developed to create a tailored focus in areas that are not covered by one individual course.  Customized training may be delivered at the employer business site, or at one of Chaffey Colleges’ campus facilities in either Rancho Cucamonga, Chino (2 sites) or Fontana.
Customized courses may qualify for ETP funding and can be developed for entry level, advanced or senior workforce employees. 

• INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS

Industry certifications are often a must in today’s competitive business environment. Employers seek industry certifications to meet workplace competencies and to enhance overall employee development. Both professional and trade certifications are delivered through Chaffey College Workforce Training.  All certifications are attached to well- established industry organizations including Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC), Microsoft, and Development Dimensions International (DDI).

• FEE BASED COURSES

Fee based course delivery is available to both large and small businesses. These solutions are designed for businesses that do not fall within the parameters of Employment Training Panel criteria and guidelines, but still require the necessary workforce training to remain competitive.

• DEVELOPMENT DIMENSIONS INTERNATIONAL (DDI) TRAINING

Development Dimensions International offers a comprehensive, yet practical, approach to talent management. For over 30 years’ DDI has created a successful blueprint for employee development.  Chaffey College has partnered with DDI to deliver in-demand certifications in the area of Human Resources Management.  
DDI courses are available to all Chaffey College Workforce employer clients.
