What are Directed Learning Activities?
Directed learning
activities (DLA's) are specific exercises and activities that consist of an
independent portion that takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete
and a follow-up session with a tutor that lasts approximately 15-30
minutes depending on the activity. The independent portion of a
Directed learning activity can be completed in the Fontana Success
Center without an appointment. However, an appointment must be
set for the follow-up session with a writing tutor.
