An invitation is mailed to each qualified student inviting them to join Phi Theta Kappa at Chaffey College. Two orientation sessions will be scheduled for these eligible PTK members to acquaint them with the benefits of being a member of PTK each semester.

These students have been pre-qualified and only need to pay their registration fee and submit a completed application. An induction ceremony is held subsequently to welcome all new members to the organization.

Qualifications for Membership:

To be eligible for membership in Phi Theta Kappa, a student must meet the following three requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Chaffey College

  • Complete a minimum of 12 transferable credit units at Chaffey College

  • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher

Membership Fees:

Membership dues for the Beta Kappa Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is $72.00. This is an one-time fee that covers membership dues on the local, regional and international levels for a lifetime membership. Members continue to enjoy benefits even after graduating from Chaffey College.
