For many
students, mathematics can be one of the most
intimidating and difficult subjects to master.
At Chaffey College, we offer a wide variety of
courses to accommodate anyone, from those whose
last math class was several years ago to those
who wish to transfer to four-year institutions
in the areas of mathematics or science. If you
have the time, Chaffey has the dedicated
professors and staff to help you achieve your
educational goals.
Before
enrolling in a particular math class, it is
essential to determine if you have the proper
preparation to take the course. Starting
in a course without the necessary background
will likely result in frustration and failure.
At Chaffey, we have an excellent counseling
staff dedicated to helping determine which
course would be the appropriate starting place
for you. Assessment testing and your prior
study of mathematics will be the leading factors
in determining this.
At Chaffey
College, we offer many services to assist
students in achieving academic success. One of
the most powerful ways in which Chaffey provides
assistance to math students is through our Math
Success Centers. Chaffey College has
tutoring centers open six days a week.
Whether you attend one of the off campus sites
or you’re on the main campus, access to free
tutoring is always available. Filled with
trained tutors and math professionals, the
Success Centers can be extremely helpful in
guiding students toward success in mathematics.
