Information for Students with Greater Than 90 Units

Students who complete 90 or more completed units lose much of their registration priority.  For some students, who have decided to pursue an impacted program (i.e. nursing, etc.), this may create a hardship when attempting to register in certain impacted prerequisite courses for these programs. 

A petition process exists via the Admissions and Records Office for those students negatively impacted by this policy to request special consideration for registration priority.

Please contact the Admissions and Records Office for more information regarding the process.  Allow ample time before the registration period begins for the term, as the deadline for submitting the petition is commonly at least 2 weeks prior to when the registration process begins for the term. Remember too, that petitioning for consideration does not guarantee approval.
