The Reference Book Collection contains dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases and gazetteers, and other volumes of collected information on subjects ranging from health and medicine to literary criticism. In short, the purpose of the Reference Book Collection is to provide quick answers and background information on a variety of subjects.

Materials from the Reference Book Collection may not be checked out, but must be used inside the library. The Call Numbers of reference books begin with the letter "R".
