eRes (Electronic Reserves)

Want to make your class syllabi, handouts, homework assignments, practice tests, scanned documents and/or relevant web links available to your students 24/7? ERes, our electronic reserves service, can do this for you!

eRes allows students to access reserved reading materials and course related documents on a 24/7 basis. Many instructors are managing their own eRes accounts, controlling the flow and pacing of materials to their students without library staff intervention.

ERes can be used for the following course documents:

  • Course syllabi
  • Homework assignments
  • Sample essays
  • Practice tests
  • Class handouts
  • Power Point presentations
  • Scanned documents

Please note that obtaining copyright clearance for placing published materials (i.e. chapters from a textbook) on eRes is the responsibility of the instructor.

We recommend that, at the very least, you place your course syllabi on eRes, thus eliminating the need for continual distribution of paper copies to your students. A hand-out is available for you to distribute to your students on the use of the eRes system below.

For more information on how to establish and manage your own eRes account, please call Marie Boyd at 652-6806.
