Virtual Tour - Circulation & Reserves

Image of the Circulation Desk

Located on the left as you walk into the Library, Circulation is the desk that you go to in order to check out books and other materials.

Your Chaffey College ID card is also your library card; you will need to present your student ID to check out materials.

Loan Periods for Library Materials

  • Books in the General Collection = 2 weeks
  • Magazine or jounal issues (volumes are library use only) = 1 week
  • Reserve materials = 1 hour use within the library (a few can check out overnight, these are labelled overnight in the call number)
  • Videos = can be used within the library for the length of the video

In some cases you can renew books checked out to you online using the Library Catalog (Instructions for Renewing a Book Online, .pdf), or you can bring the books to the Circulation Desk to renew them. Books cannot be renewed over the phone and books that are overdue cannot be renewed online.
