Steps for New Arrival Students

The following steps are necessary for international students to help with the registration process. Please follow these instructions step by step.

1.

Check in

Check in with the International Student Office, WH-181

Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Submit copies of your
student visa, Chaffey I-20, I-94 (both sides), and any changes to local address, email, or phone.

2.  
Assessment Testing

To make a counseling appointment, call the Counseling Department at 909/652-6200 or go to http://esars.chaffey.edu/tests-groups/eSARS.asp?WCI=Init&WCE=Settings, enter your information, and then click on the "continue" button to began the process. If you are having difficulties, visit counseling department in SSA building or call.

3.  
Counseling

Call the Counseling Department at 909/652-6200 or visit in person to schedule an appointment with our international counselor,
Jackie Boboye.
NOTE: These appointments must be made before you register for your classes and after the assessment testing.

4.  
Register for classes

All International Students will be given a registration date and time to register for classes. All International students are required to take a full course load of 12 units or more for spring anf fall semesters. Summer sessions are optional.

5.  
TB Testing

If you have not already taken your TB test, please have this done at our health services office on the Rancho Cucamonga campus. Tests are done Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

6.  
Health Insurance

This step is to be completed after attending the mandatory orientation. All International Students are required to have health/medical insurance while attending Chaffey College. Please go on this website to purchase the insurance: www.renstudent.com.



Orientation Information
Mandatory

All new students at Chaffey College are required to attend a New International Student Orientation. At the orientation, you will learn more about our college, become familiar with your academic and degree requirements, understand Immigration requirements, explore student services, and meet new friends.

All New Students must attend orientation to complete admissions requirements.

Orientation Schedule for Summer/Fall 2009 semester

Orientation is scheduled for two days: August 11 andAugust 12. Please choose one day to attend the orientation.

Tuesday, August 11   8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 12   8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Orientation will be held in the Chaffey College Staff Lounge, which is next to the Health Services Office in Campus Center West.
