In addition to developing technical skills, students in the dental assisting program study oral anatomy, general anatomy, and microbiology. An Associate of Science degree can be acquired by taking additional required courses. See a counselor for further information.

  Courses in radiation safety, coronal polishing, clinical skills, and advanced office procedures are available evenings and Saturdays.

Requirements for the Dental Assisting Certificate:

Same as major. All must be completed with a minimum grade of C.
