The Assessment Test is a computerized placement tool (called Accuplacer) used to determine each student's proficiency level in mathematics, English composition, and reading comprehension.
WHEN TO TAKE THE TEST
It is recommended that all new students take the test as soon as possible. Waiting to take the test may delay your eligibility to register for certain courses.
Chaffey College does not accept assessment scores from other colleges.
TYPES OF ASSESSMENT TESTS
The traditional assessment test is a three-part test in math, English, and reading.
ESL (English as a Second Language The ESL test is for students whose native language is not English and who plan to take ESL courses. All students who plan to take ESL courses must first complete the ESL assessment test.
