Chelsea Waddy-Blow CHELSEA WADDY-BLOW EARNS ALL-STATE HONORS (3/14/16)
Congratulations to Sophomore guard Chelsea Waddy-Blow who was named to the CCCAA Southern Region All-State team at last weekend's championship tournament. Waddy-Blow was also Foothill Conference MVP and finished her Chaffey career #6 in the state averaging 20.9 points per game.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow CHELSEA WADDY-BLOW JOINS 1000+ POINTS CLUB (2/29/16)
Sophomore guard Chelsea Waddy-Blow joined the prestigious Panthers 1000+ Points Club Wednesday, finishing her career at Chaffey with 1016 points. Chelsea is currently ranked #2 in the state for scoring and was named Foothill Conference MVP for the second straight year.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow PANTHERS FINISH SEASON WITH PLAYOFF RUN (2/29/16)
The ladies hosted the Citrus Fighting Owls Wednesday evening is Round 1 of CCCAA playoff action, falling to Citrus 71-63. Chelsea Waddy-Blow again dominated the court, scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Panther squad. Denisha Spivey added 16 points while Alexis Frondarina put 15 on the board.
CCCAA 2016 PlayoffsLADY PANTHERS TO HOST FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF GAME WEDNESDAY (2/22/16)
The #15 seeded Chaffey Panthers will host the first round of state playoff action Wednesday evening at 7pm against #18 Citrus College. Admission pricing: $12 general admission; $8 students & seniors. Season passes not accepted at this event. Campus parking regulations will be enforced. Parking permits may be purchased in the parking lot.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow CHELSEA WADDY BLOW NAMED CONFERENCE MVP (2/22/16)
The Chaffey women were well represented on the All-Foothil honor team with the league's top honor going to sophomore Chelsea Waddy Blow for the second year in a row. Also named to the all-conference list were Alexis Frondarina, Denisha Spivey, Mykiah Trotter, and Celestine Cazares. 2nd year head coach Tasha Burnett earned Conference Coach of the Year. Congratulations to all.
Denisha Spivey PANTHERS FINISH FOOTHILL SEASON WITH WIN AT HOME (2/22/16)
The ladies hosted Barstow College Saturday afternoon hoping to avenge their earlier season loss and were victorious 64-55. The win solidified the Panthers hold on the Foothill Conference #2 spot going into the 2016 playoffs. Denisha Spivey led the Panthers with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Also scoring double-doubles Saturday were Chelsea Waddy Blow with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Mykiah Trotter with 10 points and 19 rebounds. The ladies will begin state playoff action on Wednesday.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow PANTHERS FALL TO SBVC BY THREE, TIED FOR SECOND PLACE WITH BARSTOW (2/18/16)
The ladies were on the road last night, taking on San Bernardino Valley in a battle of the final Foothill Conference Championship. Despite a strong showing, the Panthers came up short, maintaining their 2nd place position in the conference race. Chelsea Waddy-Blow scored 22 points and 16 rebounds for the Panthers. Denisha Spivey added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the second double-double showing last night. Alexis Frondarina posted 16 points, 12 of which were from the 3-point line. The ladies conclude the 2016 conference season at home Saturday afternoon against Barstow College. That game will determine the final conference standing.
Denisha Spivey PANTHERS GET WIN OVER VICTOR VALLEY (2/11/16)
The ladies came on strong last night, dominating the Victor Valley Rams in the 2nd half of play to take the conference match-up 61-41. Denisha Spivey led the Panthers with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Celestine Cazares and Alexis Frondarina added 16 points each. Chelsea Waddy Blow dominated on rebounds with 12 including 8 on defense. The ladies are on break this weekend, returning to the court next Wednesday to take on San Bernardino Valley College.
LADY PANTHERS ENTER STATE RANKING (2/11/16)
For the first time this season, the Lady Panthers entered the state coaches' poll ranking at #15 in the south.
Alexis Frondarina PANTHERS TAKE FOOTHILL #2 SPOT WITH WIN OVER RIO HONDO (2/8/16)
The ladies defeated Rio Hondo Saturday afternoon to take control of the #2 spot in the Foothill Conference. Edging out the Roadrunners by one point, the Lady Panthers continue to show conference and regional teams the strength and success of the small squad. Alexis Frondarina again led the Panthers (3rd game in a row) scoring 20 points and 3 rebounds. Denisha Spivey added 16 points to the board and 11 rebounds for the Panther squad. The ladies continue conference play Wednesday at home, hosting Victor Valley College at 7pm.
Alexis Frondarina FRONDARINA LEADS PANTHERS TO WIN OVER DESERT (2/4/16)
The ladies hosted Desert last night, defeating the visiting Roadrunners 70-57.For the second game in a row, freshman guard Alexis Frondarina led the Panthers with 23 points. Denisha Spivey added 16 points while Chelsea Waddy-Blow posted 14 points and 12 rebounds. The ladies hold onto the Foothill 2nd place position, tied with Rio Hondo. The two teams face off Saturday on the road.
Alexis Frondarina PANTHERS FALL TO BARSTOW (1/28/16)
The ladies were on the road last night, taking on Barstow College in continued conference play. The Vikings took an early lead and held on through the four quarters to finish 71-61. Alexis Frondarina scored an impressive 25 points, including five 3s. Denisha Spivey added 19 points for the Panther squad. The team has a week-long break, returning to the Sports Center Wednesday to take on College of the Desert.
Mykiah Trotter PANTHERS FALL TO SBVC IN CLOSE GAME (1/26/16)
The ladies hosted San Bernardino Valley Saturday afternoon in a battle for Foothill first place. Despite leading at the half, the ladies were outscored by five points in the final minutes of play, falling 67-63 to the Wolverines. Chelsea Waddy Blow continued her court dominance, posting 22 points and 8 rebounds. Mykiah Trotter led the rebound front with 19, giving her the day's only double-double for either team. The ladies continue play Wednesday at Barstow.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow LADY PANTHERS DEFEAT VVC TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (1/19/16)
The ladies traveled to Victor Valley Saturday, defeating the Rams 65-32. Chelsea Waddy Blow, who currently leads the state in both points and points per game, had an impressive 36 points scored. The ladies have a break Wednesday, resuming conference play Saturday at home against San Bernardino Valley.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow PANTHERS TAKE DOWN RIO HONDO BY 27 POINTS (1/14/16)
The Lady Panthers hosted Rio Hondo last night, defeating the Roadrunners 79-52. Chaffey took an early lead and never let up, dominating each quarter of play. With 31 points and 19 rebounds, Chelsea Waddy Blow demonstrated why she is a statewide scoring leader. Gytonne Everett, Alexis Frondarina, and Celestine Cazares all added double digits to the board as the Panthers steamrolled Rio Hondo in conference play. The team is on the road Saturday, taking on Victor Valley at 1pm.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow PANTHERS OPEN FOOTHILL SEASON WITH DECISIVE WIN OVER DESERT (1/11/16)
The Lady Panthers opened the 2016 Foothill Conference season Saturday at College of the Desert, defeating the Roadrunners 66-47. Chelsea Waddy Blow scored 28 points and 17 rebounds. Chelsea is currently ranked 4th in the state and 2nd in the south in both points per game and rebounds per game. Denisha Spivey had an equally impressive 17 points. Alexis Frondarina had 12 points including three 3s. The ladies return home Wednesday, taking on Rio Hondo at 5pm.
Denisha Spivey PANTHERS DEFEAT WEST LA IN FINAL PRE-CONFERENCE GAME (1/5/16)
The ladies hosted the West LA Wildcats last night, earning a win in their final pre-Foothill Conference game of the year. The Lady Panthers led by 18 at the half with Denisha Spivey dominating the court - ultimately scoring 23 points for the Panther squad. Chelsea Waddy Blow followed with 16. The team opens the Foothill Conference season Saturday at College of the Desert.
Alexis Frondarina LADIES DEFEAT SAN DIEGO BY 54 POINTS (1/4/16)
The ladies continued their pre-conference schedule at San Diego City College last week, defeating the Knights 81-27. Alexis Frondarina and Denisha Spivey posted 19 points each for the squad. Chelsea Waddy Blow added 20 points along with 16 rebounds. Chelsea remains one of the top 10 scorers in the state. The ladies play their final pre-conference game tonight at home against West LA.
PANTHERS STRUGGLE AT COAST
The ladies participated in the annual Coast Christmas Classic December 17-18, falling in overtime at Palomar and then to Canyons. The team continues pre-conference season play on the 30th at San Diego City College.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow LADY PANTHERS WORKING HARD AT IRVINE VALLEY (12/14/15)
The ladies continued tournament play last weekend at Irvine Valley, falling by only five points to both Long Beach and El Camino. Sophomore Chelsea Waddy Blow again dominated the court, posting 43 points for the team. Chelsea is currently ranked #1 in the state for scoring with 286 points, averaging 22 per game. The ladies participate in the Coast Christmas Classic at Orange Coast College starting Thursday.
PANTHERS HOST 5TH ANNUAL TOURNAMENT (12/7/15)
The ladies hosted the 5th Annual Panther Pride Tournament last weekend, defeating Southwestern before falling to tournament champions Mt San Jacinto and Saddleback. Against Southwestern, powerhouse sophomore returner Chelsea Waddy-Blow posted 31 points, going 13:21, 24 rebounds, and 2 steals. Chelsea is currently #6 in the state, averaging 22.1 points/game.
LADY PANTHERS TAKE CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP AT BARSTOW (11/23/15)
The ladies opened the Barstow Tournament with a close loss to Lassen College Friday 68-62 but went on to defeat Victor Valley by 28 points taking on Imperial Valley for the consolation championship. Against IVC, the Panthers' Chelsea Waddy Blow put 29 points up on the board along with 13 rebounds to lead the team to victory. The ladies resume play after Thanksgiving, taking on San Diego City Monday in San Diego followed by the annual Panther Pride Tournament the following weekend.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow PANTHERS TAKE 3RD AT SAN JACINTO LION'S CLUB LADY EAGLE TIP-OFF TOURNAMENT (11/19/15)
The Lady Panthers opened the Mt San Jacinto Tournament with a 64-56 win over Orange Coast, advancing the team to the championship semifinal against Palomar College. Against the Comets, the ladies fell 84-43 before taking on Citrus for third place defeating the Fighting Owls 76-65. Chelsea Waddy-Blow led the Panther offense with 23 points against Citrus. Chelsea is currently ranked #13 in the state for scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. The team takes on Lassen College in game one of the Barstow College Tournament tomorrow at 1pm.
Chelsea Waddy-Blow LADY PANTHERS GET 62 POINT WIN OVER LA SOUTHWEST (11/9/15)
The ladies were on fire Friday night, defeating the Cougars 95-33. Sophomore Chelsea Waddy Blow scored 40 points for the Chaffey squad along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Alexis Frondarina added 15 points while Gytonne Everett and Celestine Cazares added 12 each. The team participates in the Mt San Jacinto Tourney this weekend.
Denisha Spivey CHAFFEY OPENS SEASON WITH 26 POINT WIN OVER LA TRADE TECH (11/4/15)
The ladies were in fine form last night as the Panthers defeated the LA Trade Tech Beavers 86-60. Chaffey led the entire night including a nine point lead at the half. Sophomore Denisha Spivey lit up the court, earning 26 points for the team, six rebounds, and six steals. Newcomer Alexis Frondarina put nineteen on the scoreboard for the Panther squad. The ladies travel to LA Southwest Friday for a 7pm game.
