Shannon Moore LADY PANTHERS VICTORIOUS - ADVANCE TO PLAYOFFS ROUND 3 (3/3/14)
The ladies hosted Irvine Valley Saturday evening in Round 2 of the 2014 CCCAA playoffs, emerging victorious 72-66. Irvine led for the majority of the game including a 5 point lead at the half but the Panthers came back in the 2nd half. Trailing with less than a minute on the clock, Mary Windom hit a 3, followed by a 2 to take the game and advance the Panthers to the next round of playoff action. Windom led the Panthers in scoring with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals. The ladies will travel Wednesday to face off against #3 LA Valley at 5 pm. Valley defeated ELAC Friday 92-88 in overtime.

Congratulations to Mary Windom, Shannon Moore and Raven Dixon for being named All-Foothill Conference.
PANTHERS TO HOST PLAYOFF GAME SATURDAY (2/24/14)
The #6 seeded Chaffey men will host Irvine Valley Saturday evening at 5:30 to open the 2014 CCCAA playoffs. Admission will be charged per CCCAA guidelines.
Dominique Worthy LADY PANTHERS CLOSE CONFERENCE SEASON WITH BIG WIN (2/24/14)
The ladies hosted Barstow College Saturday afternoon in the final 2014 Foothill Conference match-up, defeating the Vikings 57-70. Dominque Worthy lit up the court with 16 points (including four 3s), 7 rebounds and 1 steal. Shannon Moore had an equally impressive 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The women finish the regular season 25-5, 2nd in the Foothill Conference. State playoffs begin this week with the seeding announcement coming later today.

The ladies fought hard, holding the Wolverines to a single digit lead for most of the 1st half but failed in the secpond period to hold back San Bernardino, finally falling 59-67. Shannon Moore had an impressive night scoring 17 points (including three 3s) and 3 rebounds. Angelica Guardado added 13 points and 9 reboundsfor the Panthers. The ladies host Barstow Saturday at 1pm for their final 2014 regular season game.
LADIES CONTINUE AT #13 (2/17/14)
For the third week in a row, the Lady Panthers come in at #13 in the state and #7 in Southern California in today's CCWBCA poll.
Tyease Bryson PANTHER WOMEN ON A ROLL (2/13/14)
The Lady Panthers hosted Victor Valley yesterday, defeating the visiting Rams 96-58. Mary Windom turned in another impressive performance, racking up 19 points. Tyease Bryson added 15 to lead the Panthers to their 20th win of the season. The #13 ranked Panthers improve to 20-6 (6-2). The hot shooting Panthers (15 made 3-pointers), led 43-34 at half and quickly extended the lead to 20 early in the second. The ladies travel to San Bernardino next Wednesday.
LADIES HOLD ONTO STATE RANKING (2/10/14)
For the second week in a row, the Lady Panthers come in at #13 in the state and #7 in Southern California in today's CCWBCA poll.
PANTHERS DEFEAT RIO HONDO TO HOLD ONTO FOOTHILL #2 (2/10/14)
The ladies defeated Rio Hondo Saturday afternoon 88-68 to solely hold onto the Foothill Conference #2 position. Mary Windom again led the Panthers with 19 points. With 14.9 ppg, Windom holds a top 5 spot for conference scoring. Also on fire for the Panthers was Dominique Worthy with 15 points - all 3-point shots. Angelica Guardado had 8 rebounds and 12 points. The team hosts Victor Valley Wednesday night at 5pm.

WINDOM LEADS PANTHERS TO WIN #18 (2/6/14)
Sophomore Mary Windom scored a game high 21 points to lead the Panthers last night against College of the Desert. Angelica Guardado and Cierra Miles chipped in with 14pts & 13pts respectively. The ladies improve to 18-6 (4-2). Next up is a big game on Saturday at Rio Hondo at 1pm.  The Panthers are tied for second place with Rio, but lost to the Roadrunners in the 1st round of conference play.

LADIES CONTINUE STATE RANKING (2/3/14)
The Lady Panthers continue to impress the state pollsters -- coming in at #13 in the state and #7 in Southern California in today's CCWBCA poll.

Shannon Moore PANTHERS DEFEAT BARSTOW - #2 IN FOOTHILL (1/30/14)
The ladies took on Barstow last night, defeating the Rams 87-66. May Windom led the Panthers with 22 points. Angelica Guardado added 20 for the squad. The win puts the Panthers in a 3-way tie for Foothill Conference 2nd place with Rio Hondo and Barstow behind undefeated San Bernardino Valley. The ladies have a week break before hosting Desert Wednesday February 5th.
LADY PANTHERS REMAIN #12 IN THE STATE (1/28/14)
The Panthers remain in the #12 spot on this week's CCCWBCA state poll; #7 in the southern region.
PANTHERS FALL TO SAN BERNARDINO (1/27/14)
Despite leading 41-34 at the half, the ladies could not pull off the win over local rival San Bernardino Valley Saturday, falling to the Wolverines 71-68. The team takes on Barstow Wednesday (at Barstow). The Vikings are 3-1 in conference and coming off a 19 point win over Desert Saturday. [Daily Bulletin article]
Miya Arrington PANTHERS REBOUND TO KNOCK OUT VVC (1/21/14)
The ladies defeated Victor Valley Saturday 67-59. Miya Arrington led the team with 14 points including four 3s. The ladies host San Bernardino Valley Saturday. The Wolverines are undefeated in conference play and are coming off a 20 point win over Barstow.
RIO LOSS DROPS PANTHERS TO #12 IN STATE POLL (1/20/14)
The loss last week to Rio Hondo dropped the Lady Panthers to #12 in the state (still the highest ranking Foothill team) and #5 in Southern California. The only other state ranked Foothill team, San Bernardino Valley, came in at a #20 tie.
LADIES FALL TO RIO HONDO (1/16/14)
The Lady Panthers took an early lead last night but succeumbed to Rio Hondo - falling 66-61 in conference play. The ladies continue play Saturday at Victor Valley.
LADIES MOVE TO #8 IN THE STATE (1/13/14)
This week's CCCWBCA poll puts the Lady Panthers in the #8 state spot (up from #9) and #5 in Southern California. The team remains the highest ranking Foothill Conference team.

PANTHERS OPEN CONFERENCE SEASON WITH A WIN (1/13/14)
The Panthers fought back from an 8 point deficit in the 2nd half to take the lead late in regulation, but Desert’s Juanita Cervantes scored on a driving layup with 2 seconds left to tie the game at 69 and send the game to overtime. The Roadrunners scored twice to take a 73-69 lead in the first 1:20 of OT, but the Panthers responded closing the game on a 13 to 1 run to seal the victory. Chaffey played short-handed (for multiple reasons), suiting up only 8 of their 13 players. Freshman forward Angelica Guardado, playing in only her second game (knee surgery), led Chaffey with 21 points.  The Panthers  improve to 15 -4 (1-0). Next game is Wednesday, 5pm, at home vs. Rio Hondo.

LADY PANTHERS CLOSE PRE-SEASON WITH 20 POINT WIN (1/6/14)
The ladies were on the road Saturday, defeating the Antelope Valley College Marauders 80-60 in their final pre-season game. Mary Windom led the Panthers with an impressive 22 points (including four straight 3s to open the game) and 6 rebounds. The ladies open the Foothill Conference season Saturday at College of the Desert. The Roadrunners are 9-9 on the season and are coming off a 3 point win over LA Trade Tech.
PANTHERS 1-1 AT COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS (1/2/14)
The Lady Panthers finished 2013 with a split at the COS Holiday Crossover last weekend - falling to host Sequoias before defeating San Mateo (85-51). The team takes on former Foothill foe, Antelope Valley Saturday evening in their final pre-conference match up. Foothill Conference play begins Saturday January 11th at College of the Desert.
LADIES MOVE TO #11 IN THE STATE AND #5 IN SO CA (12/30/13)
This week's CCCWBCA poll puts the Lady Panthers in the #11 state spot (up from #14 last week). The team also moved up three spots in the Southern California poll to #5 - the highest ranking Foothill Conference team..
Shannon Moore LADY PANTHERS STORM COAST HOLIDAY CLASSIC (12/23/13)
The ladies won their thirst tournament this season, defeating Orange Coast, Cuesta and Irvine Valley last weekend to take the championship at the Erin Tomlinson Coast Christmas Classic. Chaffey's Shannon Moore who had 37 points in the three tournament games was named MVP. Cierra Miles and May Windom were also named to the all-tournament team. The ladies take break this week and resume play after Christmas at College of the Sequoias.

PANTHERS OPEN COAST CLASSIC WITH A WIN (12/19/13)
The ladies are on the road this week participating the Annual Coast Christmas Classic - opening the tourney with a close win over host Orange Coast College 62-61. The team reallied from 5 down with four minutes to go but it was Dominque Worthy's 15-foot baseline jumper with 11 seconds on the clock that clinched the win for the squad. The ladies will take on Cuesta tonight in the championship semifinal game. Cuesta beat Palomar yesterday 80-70 to advance.

LADIES MOVE TO #14 IN THE STATE (12/18/13)
This week's CCCWBCA poll puts the Lady Panthers in the #14 state spot (up from #15 last week). The team remains #8 in Southern California - 1 spot behind local rival San Bernardino Valley.
Shannon Moore PANTHERS DEFEAT SAN DIEGO MESA (12/16/13)
The ladies were on the road Saturday, defeating the San Diego Mesa Olympians 66-57 to improve to 9-3 this season. Panther guard Mary Windom scored a career high 31 points, including 7 3-pointers to lead Chaffey to the win. Wednesday, the ladies take on Orange Coast in the 1st round of the Coast Christmas Classic - a rematch of the November 17th overtime win that led the Panthers to a Mt San Jacinto Tournament championship.
LADY PANTHERS FALL TO MT SAC (12/12/13)
The ladies hosted the Mt SAC Mounties last night in their final pre-conference home appearance, falling 71-50. The team travels to San Diego Mesa College Saturday.

2013 Panther Pride Tournament ChampionsPANTHERS TAKE PANTHER PRIDE CHAMPIONSHIP (12/9/13)
The Panthers hosted seven Southern California teams last weekend in the 3rd Annual Panther Pride Tournament - defeating Fullerton, Citrus and Saddleback to capture the tournament championship. [full tournament coverage] Mary Windom was named All-Tournament MVP. The ladies host Mt SAC Wednesday at 7 pm.

POLL UPDATE - The ladies were ranked #15 in the state and #8 in SoCA on the December 9 CCCWBCA poll.

PANTHERS HOST THIRD ANNUAL TOURNAMENT (12/3/13)
The lady Panthers will host their 3rd Annual Panther Pride Tournament this weekend featuring Barstow, Citrus, Fullerton, Glendale, Mt San Jacinto, Saddleback, Southwestern, and Chaffey. [bracket and schedule]

PANTHERS GO 2-1 AT GLENDALE (11/24/13)
The Lady Panthers were on the road last weekend - going 2-1 at the Glendale College Vaquero Shootout.

DAY 3
Pasadena 62 Chaffey College 45
Panthers finish 2nd at the Vaquero Shootout. Chaffey trailed 27-20 at half and got no closer than 5pts. w/9mins remaining before the Lancers pulled away. Shannon Moore named all-tournament. Chaffey is now 5-2 and is off until December 6th when they will host Fullerton in the first round of the Panther Pride Tournament.

The Panthers faced off in the semi-final round against Fullerton who had defeated host Glendale on day 1.

Shannon Moore led all scorers with 19 points and three 3s.

Mt San Jacinto Tournament ChampionsLADIES CAPTURE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP AT MT SAN JACINTO (11/18/13)
The ladies went 3-0 last weekend at Mt San Jacinto - defeating Palomar, Cypress and Orange Coast to capture the tournament championship. Friday, Dominque Worthy shot a 3-pointer at the buzzer to take the Panthers to victory over defending Pacific Coast Conference champions Palomar. Saturday, the Panthers took down Cypress with Mary Windom shooting for 20 points. Sunday, the team faced off against Orange Coast and defeated the Pirates 74-71 in overtime. Windom was named tournament MVP. Shannon Moore and Tyease Bryson were named all tournament. The team travels to Glendale for tournament play this weekend.
LADIES OPEN SEASON AGAINST LONG BEACH SATURDAY (11/8/13)
The ladies host Long Beach City College Saturday in the opening game of the 2013-14 season. Sophomore returner Mary Windom led the Panthers with 27 points. At the half the ladies trailed by 8 but the Vikings expanded thier lead to 20 early in the 2nd half. The ladies fought back, closing the gap to 10 with 10 minutes to go in play. The Panthers came into the season ranked #10 in the south and #14 in the state. The ladies will take on Palomar in the first round of the Mt San Jacinto Tournament this weekend. Palomar was last year's Pacific Coast Conference champion.
LADIES OPEN SEASON AGAINST LONG BEACH SATURDAY (11/8/13)
The ladies host Long Beach City College Saturday in the opening game of the 2013-14 season. The Panthers come into the season ranked #10 in the south and #14 in the state.
