The men's soccer team hosted Desert for the first game of the 2009 Foothill Conference season, winning 2-1. Scoring for the Panthers were Orlando Murillo and Lalo Equihua. Goalkeeper was Danny Hernandez with 6 saves/1 goals against in 90 minutes of play. The men play at San Bernardino Valley Tuesday.

The men's soccer team traveled to Glendale College Friday – losing 6-1. Scoring for the Panthers was Saul Alcaraz (assist by Ernesto Ramos. Goalkeeper were Andres Moreno, 7 saves/80 minutes/5 goals against and Brent Gonzales, 1 saves/10 minutes/1 goal against. The men tied Riverside on Monday 4-4. Scoring for the Panthers were:

The men's soccer team traveled to Southwestern College Friday to take on the Jaguars – winning 3-1. Scoring for the Panthers were:

The men's soccer team traveled to College of the Canyons last week, beating the Cougars 6-4. Scoring for the Panthers were:

The men's and women's soccer teams hosted El Camino College in the first games of the 2009 season. Despite the heat, fans cheered the Panthers on. The women lost to ECC 3-0. Goal Keeper, Bianca Velasco played the complete game and had 2 saves. The men opened the season with a win (3-0). Scoring for Panthers were Andre Esquivel (assisted by Josh Salas), Orlando Murillo (assisted by Ernesto Ramos) and Ernesto Ramos (assisted by Abel Rodriguez).Chaffey's Goalkeeper was Brent Gonzales who played all 90 minutes and had 4 saves. The men play again at home on Monday against Cypress. The women play again on Tuesday against Miramar (also at home). Both games are at 4 pm.
Monday’s game against Cypress was cancelled due to poor air quality related to the Southern California fires. The game has been rescheduled for September 9th at 4 pm.

Men’s Soccer alum, Tyler Mitchell (2008 NSCAA/Adidas Men’s Junior College Division III All-American) is continuing his academic and athletic journey at Cal Baptist University. Mitchell played in last Saturday’s game against Division 1 UNLV where he scored an assist on the Lancer’s sole goal. The Lancers tied the Rebels, 1-1.
The 09 team begins its season this week with a home match against El Camino Friday at 4 pm.

Sophomore defender, Tyler Mitchell was named to the 2008 NSCAA/Adidas Men’s Junior College Division III All-America Team (first team). The prestigious honor recognizes a total of 26 players from 21 institutions nationwide.

The men hosted San Bernardino Monday for the final game of the conference season, beating the Wolverines 5-4. Ernesto Ramos had 3 assisted goals to lead the Panthers to the win. Also scoring for the team were Lalo Equinua and Gustavo Marquez. Defending the goal was Danny Hernandez with 3 saves.

The men traveled to north to Victor Valley Friday, shutting out the Rams on their home field 3-0. The men were lead by Manny Tristan, Ernesto Ramos and Michael Cardona, scoring 1 assisted goal each. Defending the box was Danny Hernandez with 7 saves. The men take on College of the Desert today at home 3 pm.

The men traveled to local rival San Bernardino emerging with a tie at 3-3. Scoring for the Panthers were Ernesto Ramos and Abel Rodriguez. Protecting the goal was Jesus Estrada who had 2 saves and played the entire game. The men have a bye this week and resume play on Friday at Victor Valley.

The men had their first loss in over a month Friday, falling to conference rival College of the Desert 3-1. Scoring for the Panthers was Ernesto Ramos, assisted by Manny Tristan. Defending the goal against the Roadrunners was Jesus Estrada with 7 saves. The men continue conference play tomorrow against Rio Hondo at home.

The men have had a great pre-conference season with a record of 11-2-1, ranking them first in the Foothill Conference prior to the conference season start on October 14th against Victor Valley at home. Leading the Panthers is Ernesto Ramos with 11 goals and 3 assists (ranking him 5th in the state). Chaffey’s two goalkeepers (Danny Hernandez and Jesus Estrada) also rank in the top 10 in the state.

The men traveled to Mesa Friday and came home with their 9th win of the season. Scoring for the Panthers was Abel Rodriguez (assisted by Edgar Chavez). Defending the goal with 4 saves was Jesus Estrada. The team is on the road today with a 4 pm match at Mira Costa.

The men are now 7-2-2 after yesterday’s tie with El Camino at home and two wins last week against Cypress and LA Harbor. Three games remain for the men before beginning the Foothill Conference season on October 14th against Victor Valley.

The men traveled to Cypress Monday and won 7-0 for their 2nd consecutive shut-out. Scoring for the Panthers were ABel Rodriguez, Mike Dagher (assisted by Jorge Vergara), Ernesto Ramos (Lalo Equinua), Edgar Chavez (Javier Juarez), Felix Cruz (Gustavo Marquez), Alex Aguilar (Gustavo Marquez) and Anthony Torres. Protecting the goal were Danny Hernandez and Jesus Estrada.

Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams completed the season last Saturday with games against San Bernardino Valley. Both teams finished in 2nd place in the Foothill Conference. Players named to the All-Conference team are:

It was all Panther on the field yesterday as the team took on Victor Valley in a rescheduled match from last week. Juan Rosales scored 3 of the teams 4 goals – shutting out the Rams 4-0. The team also has a bye this week, with play resuming Tuesday against #2 College of the Desert at home.

Chaffey was forced to reschedule Tuesday’s soccer game against Victor Valley due to high winds and unhealthy air quality from the local fires. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday 10/31 at 4 pm. The men will also take on San Bernardino Valley and Rio Hondo this week at home. Tuesday’s match against Rio Hondo could determine Chaffey’s appearance in post-season play.
Goal keepers Alain Tadeo and Brent Gonzalez continue to dominate conference standings, holding the #1 and 2 positions. Both are ranked in the top 20 in the state.

The men opened the conference season with a 2-0 loss against Rio Hondo. The Panthers travel to College of the Desert Friday for a 4 pm game.
Only 3 games remain for the Panthers this season, including games against #2 Antelope Valley and #3 San Bernardino Valley. The Panthers return home Saturday, October 27th for a 1 pm game against the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines. This will be the Panthers final game at home for the 07 season.

Still two weeks from the conference opener against Rio Hondo (10/12), the Panthers are taking advantage of pre-conference play to work out the kinks and get some practice in. This week the team competed against Taft (1-1 T), Southwestern (0-1 L) and San Diego Mesa (3-1 L). Three pre-conference matches remain before the opener – Mira Costa (10/1), Imperial Valley (10/3) and Cuyamaca (10/8).

The men’s soccer team fought hard last Friday for a 1-0 win over LA Harbor but lost Monday against El Camino (2-1) and to Palomar yesterday (2-0). The team plays again Friday against Taft at home.

Panther soccer began a 5 home game series Tuesday against Citrus. The team (currently 2-4-1) will play LA Harbor, El Camino, Palomar and Taft in the next 8 days.

The men are having a rougher season start, losing to RCC @ Norco yesterday 2-0. Both teams travel tomorrow to Glendale for games at 5 pm (W) and 7 pm (M).

Men’s soccer started their fall season this week with a game at College of the Canyons. The men won won 2-0 with goals by Tom Gail and Juan Rosales. Goal keeper was Alain Tadeo with 3 saves. The men play at Santiago Canyon Thursday at 4 pm and at Oxnard Friday, also at 4 pm.
