FOOTBALL FINISHES SEASON 2-8 (11/13/12)
The Panthers finished a difficult season plagued with injuries Saturday against Southwestern, falling to the Jaguars 55-25. Sophomore Anderson Otuafi led the Panthers with 9 tackles. The Panthers finish the season 2-8, 6th place in the American Mountain Conference. |

FOOTBALL FALLS TO SD MESA (11/7/12)
The men hosted San Diego Mesa Saturday night following the college's Annual Tailgate Party. The Panthers took a first quarter lead off a 33 yard field goal by Erik Zamudio but that was not enough as the Olympians went on to score in the 2nd and 3rd, winning the game 14-10. |

PANTHERS DROP GAME TO EAST LA (10/29/12)
The men were on the road Saturday, taking on East LA in continued conference action. The Panthers struggled early on, failing to score until the 3rd quarter. Despite scoring 20 points in the 4th, it was not enough to overcome the Huskies lead. The Panthers return home this Saturday to take on San Diego Mesa College. The Olympians are also 2-3 in conference.

PANTHERS LOSE A CLOSE ONE TO MT SAN JACINTO (10/22/12)
The Panthers Football team had a hard time kicking Saturday night, missing a field goal and three extra points that could have given the team a win over undefeated Mt San Jacinto. The Panthers took an early lead, ending the first half 9-0 but the Eagles had a strong second half scoring 10 in the 3rd and 14 in the 4th quarter. It was a hard fought game with the Panthers out throwing and rushing the Eagles. The team traveled to East LA Saturday. The Huskies are 1-3 in conference, 4-3 overall and are coming off 10 point loss to SBVC. |

PANTHERS DROP CONFERENCE GAME TO SBVC (10/15/12)
Despite a first quarter lead, the Panthers could not defeat local rival San Bernardino Valley Saturday night, falling to the Wolverines 44-20. The Panthers were led in scoring by Alex Jefferies with 170 yards and 2 touchdowns. The team plays at home Saturday night against Mt San Jacinto. The Eagles are undefeated this season at 6-0 and are coming off a 44-9 win over El Camino Compton Saturday. |
FOOTBALL FALLS TO CITRUS - RESUMES CONFERENCE PLAY SATURDAY (10/8/12)
The Panthers traveled to Citrus Saturday, falling to the Fighting Owls 21-54. It was a Citrus dominated game that left the Panthers scoreless until the end of the 2nd quarter. Despite scoring again in the 3rd and the 4th, it was not enough against the Owl, who are ranked #8 in the state. The Panthers resume conference play Saturday at San Bernardino Valley. The game will be televised on KVCR channel 24. |

FOOTBALL UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (10/1/12)
The men hosted El Camino Compton Saturday night, defeating the visiting Tartars 6-35. The Panthers took an early lead in the first quarter with a 65 yard pass from Harrison Stewart to Joshua Taylor, never letting go of the lead. In the third, Alex Jefferies scored on a 44 yard pass taking the score to 6-27. Minutes from the end of the game, Dominic Barnett scored on a 47 yard rush; finishing the conference match-up at 6-35. The
team takes on Citrus (3-1 overall, 0-1 conference) away this weekend and resumes conference play on the 13th against San Bernardino Valley. |

PANTHERS OPEN CONFERENCE SEASON WITH A WIN (9/24/12)
The men traveled to Victor Valley Saturday for the opening game of the 2012 American Mountain Conference season - defeating VVC 28-24. The Rams took an early lead Saturday but the Panthers answered back, ending the half 14-7. The Panthers led thorugh the 3rd with VVC scoring a tying touchdown in the 4th with 12 minutes remaining, then taking the lead off a field goal 2 minutes later. The men pulled out the win with a 45 yard pass to Novian Watson. Harrison Stewart threw for 420 yards, earning 3 touchdowns. The Panthers return home this weekend to take on El Camino Compton. Compton is currently 0-4 and are coming off a 28-7 loss to San Diego Mesa Saturday. |

PANTHERS DEFEATED AT ANTELOPE VALLEY (9/17/12)
The men traveled to Lancaster Saturday evening, falling to the AVC Marauders 35-44. AVC took an early lead scoring 13 points in the first quarter. The game bounced back and forth with a tie early in the 4th. AVC scored twice after that, taking the game to a final 35-44. For complete play by play visit the CCCSAA website. Alex Jefferies led the Panthers with an impressive 217 yards and 4 touchdowns. The team travels to Victor Valley Saturday for the first game of the 2012 American Mountain Conference season.
UPDATE (9/19/12) - Congratulations to Panther Football wide receiver Alex Jefferies for being nominated for SCFA Mountain Conference Player of the Week. Alex caught 7 passes (217 yards) and scored 4 touchdowns against Antelope Valley last Saturday. |

PANTHERS FALL TO SANTA MONICA IN SEASON OPENER (9/10/12)
The men opened the 2012 season Saturday night at home against Santa Monica, falling 34-20. Santa Monica took a 1st quarter 7-0 lead which the Panthers answered back at the beginning of the 2nd period on an Alex Jefferies touchdown. The teams vollied back and forth ending the half at 27-10 but Santa Monica pulled ahead to 34 in the 3rd - then leading the Panthers by 24 points. With only 3 minutes remaining, the men scored on Tim Diaz TD taking the final to 34-20. Sophomore Erik Zamudio had two PATs and two field goals, scoring eight of the Panthers 20 points. The men are on the road for the next two weeks - first at longtime rival Antelope Valley and then at Victor Valley for the first conference game of the year. |
