In an effort to create more consistency in the
curriculum, the English department requires instructors to select books
from a standard
core group of texts. A novel, especially the college
book; may accompany some of these texts; however, multiple novels for
writing courses will no longer be approved.
To request desk copies, please contact the book reps directly. You may have books sent to you at School of Language Arts
Well before the semester begins, you will be asked to place a book order on an official book order form--Mary Thomas will get this form to you. You may contact Michael Dinielli or Mary Thomas with questions about book orders, and you may contact the Bookstore directly--dial 652-6577 and ask for the textbook buyer. Expect there to be a shortage of books for each section. Contact the rep ahead of time and get a reserve copy or two for the Library. Please note that Mary Thomas cannot order desk copies for faculty. Be aware that it is advisable to call the Bookstore to ensure the books you ordered have arrived shortly before the semester begins. |
