  1. GETTING STARTED

    1. What Is Your Educational Objective?

Your educational objective is key to getting off to a great start in planning your first semester’s courses. This objective is tied to important decisions you must make regarding your career and college goals. Students enrolling at Chaffey in most instances have one or more of the following objectives:

      1. They plan to complete a vocational certificate to prepare them to enter into a specific job.

      2. They plan to earn an Associate of Arts or Science degree at Chaffey in one of the many majors offered.

      3. They plan to transfer to a four-year college or university. While at Chaffey they plan to complete their general education and major lower division requirements prior to transferring.

      4. They are in high school and plan to take courses to earn credit to graduate from high school and make progress towards college at the same time.

      5. They are taking courses to develop and/or maintain job skills for their current position or a future career change.

      6. They did not previously graduate from high school and want to prepare for the GED.

      7. They just want to learn new skills or gain knowledge.

      8. Or they are undecided about their goals, but know that a college education is key to their success for future employment and self-development.
