Welcome New Students!

We are excited to assist you with 4 easy steps to becoming a
Chaffey College student

1.
Complete our Online Application for Admission
  • You can fill out the online application here (link to application)
  • Within 48 hours after submitting your application, you will receive an email with your Chaffey College student ID number and access to My ChaffeyVIEW.

Transcript Information: Please submit all official AP results and other college transcripts to Admissions and Records. Do not open sealed transcripts! Meet with a Counselor to fill out appropriate form(s) to clear pre-requisites. Official high school transcripts may be needed for clearing prerequisites. You may still book your appointment for a New Student Orientation without having your transcripts on file, but you will need to submit them as soon as possible.

2.

Attend the New Student Orientation

  • Your New Student Orientation will prepare you with information to study for the Assessment Test, information on developing a course by course Educational Plan with a Counselor, and receive information about student service resources for additional support.
  • You are required to attend the New Student Orientation before scheduling your Assessment Test.
  • For exemptions to the New Student Orientation, please call the Counseling Department at (909) 652-6200.
  • You can schedule your New Student Orientation online click here.
3.

Complete the Assessment Test

  • You are required to complete the New Student Orientation before you schedule an Assessment Test. If you have not completed the New Student Orientation please click on one of the locations in step #2.
  • Complete our math & English Assessment Test to begin at your appropriate skill level. The test is free and will take about 2.5 hours. If you have transcripts from another college, please submit your official transcripts to Admissions and see a Counselor to clear any pre-requisites.
  • If you have completed the New Student Orientation, please click here to book your Assessment Test appointment online or call the Counseling Department at (909) 652-6200 (Rancho), (909) 652-7400 (Fontana), or (909) 652-8001 (Chino).
4.

Complete an Educational Plan

  • There are numerous ways to complete an educational plan, either through a workshop or one-on-one. Please call the Counseling Department to make an appointment to create your educational plan.
  • If you have not completed your assessment test, please make an appointment by clicking here. If you have already completed your Assessment Test and need an educational plan, please call the Counseling Department at (909) 652-6200 (Rancho), (909) 652-7400 (Fontana), or (909) 652-8001 (Chino).
