EIGHT PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM (11/13/12)
Congratulations to Jordan Carmody, Emily Stone, and Julie Bertagna for being named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference. Kaitlyn Tanner and Monique Bernal were named 2nd team. Kelly Cooper, Alexis Hansen and Cassandra Llanes were named Honorable Mention. Jordan Carmody was also named 2nd Team All American.
LADIES 1-1 AT SCC CHAMPIONSHIPS - TAKE ON MT SAC SATURDAY FOR 3RD PLACE FINISH (11/2/12)
The ladies continue competition tomorrow at the South Coast Conference Championships being held at Cerritos College. Yesterday the team was 1 and 1 with a first game win over Pasadena (10-4) and an afternoon loss to Long Beach (6-4). The Panthers take on Mt SAC tomorrow at 11 am for the 3rd place spot.
Emily Stone LADY PANTHERS FALL TO LONG BEACH IN OVERTIME(10/29/12)
The ladies took on Long Beach Wednesday, falling to the Viking 10-8 in overtime. Sophomores Jordan Carmody and Kaitlyn Tanner led the Panthers with 3 goals each. Julie Bertagna and Monique Bernal also scored. Emily Stone had 12 saves. The Panthers enter the South Coast Conference Championships this weekend in 3rd place.
LADIES STRUGGLE AT BATTLE AT THE BEACH (10/22/12)
The Lady Panthers had a rough weekend, droppin g3 of 4 games at the Battle at the Beach Tournament (Long Beach).Monique led the Panthers with 8 goals, followed by Kaitlyn Tanner with 7. Emily Stone had an impressive 33 saves, protecting the goal in all 4 games. The ladies resume conference play Wednesday taking on Long Beach in the final regular season match-up for 2012.
Julie Bertagna LADIES LOSE FIRST CONFERENCE MATCH (10/18/12)
The Lady Panthers took on fellow #1 team, Cerritos College yesterday, falling to the Falcons 12-7 for the first loss of the 2012 South Coast season. The loss puts the Panthers now in 2nd place, tied with Long Beach. Julie Bertagna led the Panthers in scoring with 4 goals. Emily Stone had 10 saves. The team participates in the Long Beach Tournament this weekend.
Julie Bertagna LADY PANTHERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN SCC (10/11/12)
The ladies took on Rio Hondo yesterday afternoon at home, defeating the visiting Roadrunners 16-9 to stay undefeated in the South Coast Conference. Leading the Panthers to the win was Julie Bertagna with 8 goals. Elizabeth Cuellar had 10 saves. The team has a week off, travelling to Cerritos Wednesday.
Emily Stone LADIES WIN THREE AT VENTURA (10/9/12)
The ladies participated in the Ventura Tournament last weekend, besting LA Valley, Cypress and host, Ventura College. Emily Stone amassed 43 saves over the 4 games, including 18 against Fullerton. Sophomore Jordan Carmody led the Panthers with 7 goals, followed closely by Julie Bertagna and Kaitlyn Tanner with 6 each. The team resumes conference play tomorrow hosting Rio Hondo.
PANTHERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (10/4/12)
The ladies maintain their perfect conference record with a win over LA Trade Tech yesterday 21-6. The team was led by Becca Moser with 4 goals, followed by Cambria Lippiatt and Andrea Coehlo with 3 each. Elizabeth Cuellar had 6 saves. The ladies travel north to Ventura tomorrow and Saturday for the Ventura Tournament.
Emily Stone LADY PANTHERS 2-2 SPLIT AT SAN DIEGO MESA TOURNEY (10/2/12)
The ladies traveled south last weekend competing in the San Diego Mesa Tournament. The team split the 4 game series with a win and a loss each day. The team was led by Cambria Lippiatt with 7 goals - scoring in all 4 games - followed by Monique Bernal and Julie Bertagna with 6 goals each. Emily Stone had an impressive 28 saves. The ladies take on LA Trade Tech tomorrow in continued South Coast Conference action.
BIG WIN FOR LADY PANTHERS (9/27/12)
The ladies had a HUGE win yesterday, taking down the undefeated Mt SAC Mounties at home 5-2. Julie Bertagna had 4 goals; Jordan Carmody 1. Emily Stone protected the goal with 7 saves. The ladies remain undefeated in conference! Next up: San Diego Mesa Tournament this weekend.
Julie Bertagna LADIES REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (9/20/12)
The Lady Panthers took on PCC yesterday, beating the Lancers 11-9 at home. Leading the Panthers was Julie Bertagna with 4 goals, followed by Kaitlyn Tanner with 3. Monique Bernal, Kelly Cooper, Jessica Moser and Cassandra Llanes each had one. Emily Stone had 6 saves protecting the goal. The team takes on Mt SAC next Wednesday at home.
Emily Stone LADY PANTHERS HOST 10th ANNUAL TOURNAMENT (9/17/12)
The ladies hosted the 10th Annual Women's Water Polo Tournament over the weekend, beating Ventura, Cypress and San Diego Mesa. Freshman goalkeeper, Emily Stone had 35 saves over 4 games. Kaitlyn Tanner led the Panthers in scoring with 7 goals. The ladies continue SCC play Wednesday at home against Pasadena.
LADIES OPEN CONFERENCE SEASON WITH 18-10 WIN OVER EL CAMINO (9/14/12)
The Lady Panthers opened the 2012 South Coast Conference season with a decisive win over El Camino Wednesday. The team hosts the 10th Annual Panther Tournamanet this weekend with Citrus, Cypress, Cerritos, Ventura, Riverside, San Diego Mesa and Fresno particpating.
WOMEN 1-3 AT SADDLEBACK (9/10/12)
The women traveled to Saddleback this weekend for the opening of the 2012 season - going 1-3 for the tournament. The team defeated Southwestern 20-4 before falling to Grossmont (4-5), Fullerton (6-8 OT) and Ventura (9-11 OT). The ladies take on El Camino Wednesday and host the Annual Panther Tournament this weekend.
