The Chaffey College Police Department (CCPD) is a Community College Police Department with authority pursuant to Section 830.32 of the Penal Code, utilizing patrol and multi-agency training in our efforts to keep the students, faculty & staff, and property of the Chaffey College District safe and secure.
CCPD is comprised of Sworn Police Officers and Civilian Support Staff including Police Cadets, Evidence Technician, and Records Clerks who are all dedicated to serving the Chaffey College Community.
Unique to the CCPD team is the variety of assignments and services it delivers to its customers: the students and faculty at the different campuses, the employees of CCCD, and the communities in which the students live. Our Police Officers are assigned to the college campuses within the college district and patrol the surrounding areas around the campuses. CCPD also shares jurisdiction and interacts with four (4) different municipal and county law enforcement agencies, as well as state and federal law enforcement and emergency services agencies.
Our team is a progressive and forward-thinking organization that recognizes the important role of keeping all students, faculty & staff, visitors and property safe. CCPD personnel concentrate their policing efforts on improving campus safety and creating safe learning areas for students, staff, and the college community. The goal of the CCPD team is to address the quality-of-life issues which impact student safety and the ability of the students and staff to enjoy a safe learning environment free from the fear of crime. Our team is also committed to ensuring a safe college community as we partner with local municipal law enforcement agencies, residential and business communities, faith-based organizations, and various non-profit community-service organizations.
