(Rancho Cucamonga, Chino & Fontana) Chaffey College officials are pleased to report an increase in student enrollment at the start of the fall semester which began on Wednesday, August 14. As of Friday 18,975 students are enrolled in classes on the Rancho Cucamonga, Chino and Fontana Campuses. The college is serving 1,332 more students than last year at the same time, a 7.5% increase from fall 2012.

Students attending classes on the Chaffey College Rancho Cucamonga campus account for 14,972 students; the Fontana campus serves 3,044students, the Chino campus serves 3,406 students, and 1,738 students are enrolled in online courses. Many students enroll in classes on multiple campuses.

With the passage of Proposition 30, Chaffey College was able to increase the number of courses this academic year. In the fall 2013 semester 1,758 courses were offered, 88 more classes than in the fall 2012. The data shows that students have more opportunities to enroll in courses this semester, yet they have elected to take fewer units.

Chaffey College launched a Weekend College program in the fall semester. The new program was designed for students unable to attend traditional college courses Monday through Friday. The new Chaffey weekend classes are on Friday evenings (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm). More than 60 weekend classes in a variety of disciplines are offered in the fall semester and an additional 50 are scheduled for the spring term.

The college also started the Fast Track program two years ago to provide enrollment opportunities for students throughout the fall and spring semesters. The Fast Track program consists of an array of 8-week accelerated courses with start times in August, October, January, and March. This program has proven to be very successful for both the college and students.

Chaffey College is a community college offering two-year degrees and transfer courses for students pursuing a baccalaureate degree. Chaffey also offers excellent occupational training for those pursuing professional development.
