The Program

At Chaffey College you can become a fully qualified Dietetic Service Supervisor. This program leads to employment in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities, schools, health clubs, and hospitality properties.

The Dietetic Service Supervisor program is designed to educate students to meet the technical and supervisory needs of a variety of food service operations. The programs also prepare students to be successful in a supervisory or management capacity in either commercial or institutional food operations. Students are taught in a hands-on approach as they work in an actual production kitchen and operate a restaurant on campus.

The Dietetic Service Supervisor program prepares students for entry-level management in a food service department in health care, community care, or school food service organizations, including entry levels of supervision. The program fulfills the federal and state training regulations for positions in the general acute-care hospitals, acute psychiatric hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and intermediate-care facilities.

The Dietetic Service Supervisor program is approved by the California State Department of Health.
