Andrea Guillen Dutton, RT, M.Ed., is a distinguished educator and community leader. Since 2004, Andrea has served as Program Director for the Chaffey College Radiologic Technology program. Under Andrea's leadership, the program has maintained accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the State of California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch and has been designated one of the Top 10 radiology technology programs nationwide.

Andrea is a registered and certified Radiologic Technologist, holds a State of California permit in Fluoroscopy and a license in Mammography from the national registry (ARRT) and the State of California with extensive experience in radiologic technology education. Holding a Masters Degree from California State University San Bernardino, Andrea has held increasingly responsible positions as a program faculty member, Clinical Instructor, Clinical Coordinator and is a full-time professor concurrent with her appointment as Program Director. Andrea is co-author of the textbook, Medical Techniques and Patient Care in Imaging Technology, 2003/08.

Andrea retains active membership in professional education associations and professional radiologic technology associations, such as Radiologic Technology Educators of California (RTEC), American Consortium on Education in Radiologic Technology, California Teachers Association, National Education Association, Faculty Association of California Community Colleges, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, California State Society of Radiologic Technologists and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has been a featured presenter on several occasions at the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT) annual conference.

Active in her community, Andrea currently serves on the San Antonio Hospital Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of The Community Foundation. The Community Foundation is a non-profit public charity with the mission to enhance the quality of life by providing college scholarships and grants across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Frontier Project Foundation. The goal of the non-profit Frontier Project is to demonstrate, educate and promote conscientious conservation and sustainability. Andrea has been widely involved within Chaffey College as a Chaffey College Foundation board member and a Faculty Mentor and serving on numerous committees including Program Services and Review committee, Latino Faculty and Staff Association, Vice President's Council for Educational Coordinators, Marketing committee, and College Accreditation subcommittee. Andrea is chair of the Chaffey College Radiologic Technology Advisory Committee comprised of Chaffey College faculty, staff and hospital representatives from throughout the Inland Empire.

Andrea has been honored for her service to the profession, the college and the community. Andrea has been appointed to the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch subcommittee for Radiology Technology School regulations, received the Chaffey College President's Award for Excellence, twice named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers and was awarded Woman of the Year for the 31st Senate District. Andrea received a Governor's appointment to the California State Board of Registered Nursing and was the 2008 recipient of Latino of Distinction award: Educator of the Year. Most recently, Andrea was the 2009 honoree of the Inland Empire Hispanic Image Award as Educator of the Year and was named a Woman of Distinction for the 63rd Assembly District in 2010.
