Anatomy & Radiographic Positioning I
(A SCANS infused course)

Course Description

Comprehensive study of radiographic positioning of the chest, upper and lower extremities, shoulder and pelvis girdle, abdomen, and urinary system with emphasis on associated anatomy and radiographic image evaluation. Provides the knowledge base necessary to perform standard radiographic procedures. Consideration is given to radiation protection and the production of images of optimal diagnostic quality. Laboratory experience complements the didactic portion. Laboratory experience complements the didactic portion.
The course will be taught using various approaches including: lecture, multi-media presentations, radiographic images, and demonstrations in order to address student’s diverse learning styles. RadTec 10L is the lab which supports and reinforces this course.
