University Studies

If you can't decide on a specific major just yet, or would like a broad perspective of liberal arts and sciences, the university studies major may be one for you to consider. This program prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Chaffey College offers several areas of emphasis under university studies - arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics and science  and business and technology. Please consult with a counselor for specific information regarding your intended major at the specific college/university of your choice.

Upon the successful completion of these programs, students should be able to:

  1. Develop college-level communication skills; visual, written and oral.
  2. Develop college-level critical thinking and information competency skills.
  3. Develop community and global awareness and responsibility.
  4. Increase their personal, academic and career development
