Workshops
Workshops are
50- to 60-minute small group, subject-specific sessions that are taught by faculty tutors and
cover a range of topics from prewriting activities to reading strategies. Workshops count toward the 4-hour supplemental
instruction requirement for English 500 and 550, the 3-hour supplemental instruction requirement for 450 and 1A, and the 10-hour supplemental instruction requirement for Reading 550, 530, 520, and 510.
Note: Students in an English class may only attend writing/English workshops for supplemental learning credit, and students in a reading class may only attend reading workshops for supplemental learning credit. Attending a workshop for a different course will not count for subject-specific supplemental learning credit.
