The COW
(Chaffey Online Writing Center)

Are you enrolled in an online English 1A or 450 class? If so, you can submit selected Directed Learning Activities (DLAs) for tutor feedback. Tutors will respond within four business days, Monday through Friday, during regular Language Success Center hours . The last day to post a DLA to the COW is Friday, April 26, at 11:59 p.m.

If you are taking an online English 1A or 450 class, you will be automatically uploaded into the COW and should be able to access it already. Just follow the directions below.

Moodle (COW) Access

The Chaffey Online Writing Center can be accessed through Moodle 2. You can get to the login screen in two different ways:

	Go to www.chaffey.edu/onlineed/login.html (the Distance Education website login page), and click on the Moodle link at the bottom of the page. Sign on using the username and password instructions below.

	Go directly to http://moodle2.chaffey.edu/. Sign on using the username and password instructions below.

Username:
Your username is your 7-digit student ID number (This is different than your SSN).

EXAMPLE: John Smith, ID# 1234567 would have the username of 1234567

Password:
Your initial password is your six digit birth date in the mmddyy format.

EXAMPLE: John Smith's birth date is May 30, 1966. His password would be 053066
