Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Wignall Museum/Gallery is pleased
to announce, TALL STORIES, an exhibition
of drawing, painting, installation, and mixed-media works by
ten artists known nationally and internationally
for both their leading-edge commercial illustration and fine
art projects. Artists in the exhibition are Rob
& Christian Clayton (The Clayton Brothers), P-Jay Fidler,
Alex Gross , Jason Holley, Julie Murphy, Martha Rich, Souther
Salazar, Erik Sandberg, and Jeff Soto .
The exhibition opens on Monday, August 23 - Friday and continues
through Saturday, October 2, 2004. The opening reception
will be held on Friday, August 27, 6:00-9:00 p.m. The exhibition
and the reception are free and open to the public. All alumni of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, the
influence and inspiration this group of artists and educators
share with one another is unmistakable. Taken together, these
vibrant works represent some of the most intriguing developments
in contemporary illustration today, as well as provide a
unique glimpse into a vital creative community of emerging and
established artists.
