When should I visit the Writing Center?

Who are the tutors?
The Writing Center is staffed by friendly and professional faculty
and Apprentice tutors who are all interested
in helping students become better writers. The tutors
are CRLA certified and have
completed a comprehensive tutor training program. They are dedicated to student success and
are current in the latest writing center theory and practice.
Are all classes eligible to use the
Writing Center?
You may make an appointment to see a writing tutor for any
class offered at Chaffey College. The tutors are
trained to work with students at different grade levels, from various
academic disciplines, and at different stages in their writing
development.
What should I
bring to a tutorial session?
You will be required to present a current copy of your Chaffey College
Photo ID upon entering & leaving the Writing Center. Also, be sure to
bring a copy of the instructor's assignment, any related readings or
materials, & any notes or drafts with you so the tutor can best
help you.
