How to Become an Apprentice Tutor

If you are interested in applying for an Apprentice tutor position, fill out an application and return it to the success center front desk staff.  Use the  job announcement link to view or download job descriptions and qualifications.  Use the application link to download an application to become a success center apprentice tutor.    
 
The Chaffey College Success Centers hire a variety of Apprentices each semester.  Apprentices are tutors who are skilled in academic subject areas such as writing, math, computers, languages or accounting.  All Apprentices undergo training in order to receive  College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) training certification.  Chaffey College hires two levels of Apprentices as follows: 
 
This is a red box bullet image used with table layouts.   Apprentice 2 - Tutors who do not have a BA or BS degree.  The hourly rate of pay for an Apprentice 2 is $10.25/ hour.
 
This is a red box bullet image used with table layouts.   Apprentice 4 - Tutors who have earned a BA or BS degree.  The hourly rate of pay for an Apprentice 4 is $15.00/ hour.
