December 1, 2011 Contact: Peggy Cartwright Director of Marketing and Public Relations 909/652-6115 Office 909/373-5275 Mobile For Immediate Release CHAFFEY COLLEGE CLOSES DUE TO HIGH WINDS (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) Due to high wind and weather conditions, Chaffey College will close today, Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. In order to ensure student and employee safety, all classes that are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. or later have been cancelled. All Chaffey College campuses including Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, and Fontana will be evacuated and secured at 5:00 p.m. College officials urge students, faculty, staff, community and visitors to stay in buildings, classrooms and offices as much as possible while on campus and to use caution while outdoors during heavy wind conditions.
