LISA NASHUA NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOUNDATION
AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. - Chaffey College officials have announced Lisa Nashua as the new Executive Director of the Chaffey College Foundation and Government Relations. “We are pleased to welcome Lisa Nashua to Chaffey College” said Dr. Henry Shannon, superintendent/president. “Lisa comes to us with over twenty years of experience raising funds to support access to higher education. I’m confident she will lead the Chaffey College Foundation in a direction that is mutually beneficial to our students and the community.”

The Executive Director, Foundation and Government Relations leads the Chaffey College Foundation and functions as the liaison with community organizations, as well as local, state, and federal government entities. The Executive Director also provides leadership of and develops the college’s external program for legislation and government relations.

Nashua comes to Chaffey College from Chapman University where she was the Director of Institutional Support. In this role, she collaborated with the faculty, staff, administrators and community to build partnerships between the university, local school districts and community organizations.

Prior to Chapman University, Nashua was employed at the Museum of Latin American Art as AVP Foundation and Government Relations. Nashua worked closely with members of the education and chief curatorial team to create art education for K-12 students, as well educational exhibitions. With a 10 year career at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she served as the Development Director for the Collins College and the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nashua is very familiar with the Inland Empire community.

Nashua succeeds Dr. Cid Pinedo, who led the Chaffey College Foundation from 2002 until 2014.

Nashua is committed to creating opportunities and access for diverse students both through education and co-curricular programs and activities. She enjoys bringing together people who want to support opportunities for people to pursue their dreams. “I am extremely excited to have joined the Chaffey College family, where everyone is committed to making a positive impact on the future lives of our students,” said Nashua. “My greatest joy is being able to garner support from community members who understand that access to a college education can change a person’s life.”

Nashua holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from Claremont McKenna College, a Master of Arts degree in leadership and management from the University of La Verne, and is pursuing her doctorate in higher education, with an emphasis in multiculturalism and diversity at Claremont Graduate University.
