Demonstration Gardens

The areas around the Life Sciences Buildings are planted with a variety of specimens demonstrating primitive plant forms, plants from various biogeographic regions, as well as a wide variety of native plants that demonstrate a range of local habitats.

These gardens were designed, planted, and are maintained by faculty of the Biology Department. Students taking our courses visit the gardens frequently, and the gardens are enjoyed by students and staff from all over the campus.
