 Program Awards In August 2007, we won the Chefs on the Rise Culinary Competition, and one of our culinary students, Alice Wu, competed in a cook-off and beat all the local colleges and Cal Poly. We also won the WCFMC (Western Collegiate Food Marketing Competition) on April 18 and 19, 2008 at Cal Poly, Pomona. The teams involved presented comprehensive business/marketing plans for an array of new food products. A corporate and industry panel of judges from various local companies judged each team's 20-minute business plan presentation. Chaffey won first place in the two-year division. In the student-judged area, we won for the two-year Most Innovative Marketing Idea as well as the Product Most Likely to Succeed. |
