The program is suited to the needs of both two-year students and students who wish to transfer with a major or minor in Communication Studies or related fields. The curriculum is intended for students who wish to develop a fundamental understanding and knowledge of the functions of communication in their daily life and in the fabric of society. A series of core courses is designed to provide students with the background needed to explore any of several fields in depth. Currently, these areas are public communication, leadership and group communication, and interpersonal/organizational communication.
