Academic Accommodations Committee

Purpose   To recommend reasonable academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
     
Scope   The committee's charge is to review student accommodation requests within 30 days of the request. The committee recommends to the superintendent/president an accommodation that will assist the student in successfully completing the academic objectives without compromising academic standards.
     
Reports To   Superintendent/President

Chairperson   William Miller, Director, Disability Programs and Services
     
Members   Jeff Brouwer, Greg Creel, Renee Ketchum, Melanie Olivera La-Vallee, Mary Jane Ross, and Alif Wardak.. Other faculty participation is requested as determined by the discipline.
     
Meeting Day and Time   The committee meets on an as needed basis, usually two (2) or three (3) times an academic year, depending on the number of requests received. Days and times vary depending on member's schedules.
